Citrus aurantium

More commonly known as bitter orange, it is a small fruit that has been known for many years in traditional Chinese medicine, but has only recently attracted the interest of scientific research.

Function

Citrus aurantium contains two active substances: the main one is synephrine and the other is octopamine. Thanks to these two substances, citrus aurantium performs several actions that promote slimming. Among them, of course, is thermogenesis. It should be noted that in women, this increases the proportion of calories burned with DIT to the same level as in men under normal conditions (about 25% higher).

Negative notes

Citrus aurantium has a negative effect on cardiac activity and blood pressure. Best to start with small doses.

Form and posology

The product is mostly available in tablet form. Dosage indications are 4 to 20mg/day of synephrine.
